Audio not playing from another tab/whatsapp on sidebar

I noticed that not all videos/audios keep playing while i change tabs. Sometimes I don't want to watch the video, I just want to listen while doing something else and I'm having trouble with this now. (ex.: LinkedIn videos not playing if I change tabs) YouTube seems ok, though.
Other problem is with whatsapp on the sidebar. I used to listen audios while doing other things, but now I can't click the webpage that the app goes back do the sidebar and the audio stops. So i must pin the app and use the browser with reduced layout so I can listen to my audios >:

@leocg so, with the LinkedIn, i was watching a live. The live paused when I was watching and changed tabs. Now just tested and other videos seem to be working fine there, couldn't find another live to test :p
WhatsApp on regular tab works fine, but the sidebar app still stopping my audios.
Tested with all extensions disabled. -

@leocg well, I see... but the issue is that it used to work fine before, the audios kept playing even if I was not looking at it >:
Don't know if you are a user of Whatsapp, but in my country is very very common. Is common hearing 3 minute audios from a friend... or many of them. And having to keep looking at the bar of audio to listen to it is kinda boring.
Don't know if this is a bug or a fix, so take my topic as a suggestion to pleeeease let my audios keep playing even if i'm looking to something else :p

@rapu Bro im struggling with the same problem as you, have u found any fix to this? i mean the problem with whatsapp on the sidebar stopping the audios when we click on other tabs, it used to work wonders before and now this, thats doesnt make sense, we are now obliged to stay focused at the side bar to hear all the audios.

Hey @marcusguilherme ! I reported as a bug to Opera staff. Got a response saying that they are aware of this bug and are looking to fix it.
Prolly soon we'll have a new update to save us from looking at an audio bar for minutes straight.

@leocg It's not, actually. I used to do that while using on w7 but after I change to w10 and installed Opera again, this happens.
It's supose to keep playing the audio if you close the whatsapp side bar to check other tabs. It's annoying to have to keep sidebar opened to listen.Ps.: if you don't use sidebar WhatsWeb and use it on a regular tab this bug won1t pause the audios.

If you're experiencing issues with videos or audios not playing in the background while you switch tabs or use other apps, it could be due to the settings of the specific website or application you're using. Here are a few suggestions to help troubleshoot the problem:
Check website or app settings: Some websites or applications have settings that prevent videos or audios from playing in the background or when the tab/app is not active. Check the settings of the specific platform you're using, such as LinkedIn or WhatsApp, to see if there are any options related to background playback.
Try a different browser or app: If the issue persists, try using a different browser or app to see if the problem is specific to the one you're currently using. Different browsers or apps may have different capabilities when it comes to background playback.
Use browser extensions or third-party apps: There are browser extensions or third-party apps available that can enable background playback for videos or audios. For example, for YouTube, you can try using extensions like "Enhancer for YouTube" or "YouTube Playback AutoHD" which provide additional playback options.
Keep in mind that not all websites or applications support background playback, as it can be dependent on their design and functionality. Additionally, certain platforms may have restrictions in place for copyright or other reasons.
Overall, it's recommended to explore the settings and options within the specific websites or applications you're using, and consider trying alternative solutions such as different browsers, extensions, or apps that may provide the desired background playback functionality.

@gekamon it's not any of that... but thanks for trying.
It's an Opera bug. -

hello everyone, today Opera updated me to Opera One, the groups of tabs that have inserted Chrome style are very nice, it's a pity that listening to audio from whatsapp while the tool bar is closed is still not working, what nerves. Let's hope they fix it as soon as possible..

I also had many problems with whatsapp in the past. I recommend you to change and use gbwhatsapp. It's really much better
