Forum Layout and Tools suggestions

Well, first I want my username restoring its capitals. Are the usernames now prihibited from containing capital letters?
Then, I'd like to either be able to upload or hotlink an ava-pic - or to discard any "GREY FACE" entirely.
Third, I want better text rendering in posts: normal linebreaks, for the beginning (now they show up when having doubled)...
Last for now, I'd like some user settings for the forum's personal "looks": maybe text sizes, colour themes or alike...

I want everything back from the old forum:
Search/ Advanced search
Filtering by date/views
Formatting
Signatures
Avatars
Smiles
Icons to show thread status
Quoting
Easy linking to posts
Link to last post in thread, etc.How hard can it be to reuse the old code that took ten years to develop? This is just a server with a URL like any other.

Pesala: +1
The current Forum Layout may be suitable for Mobile Devices, but on a Desktop it just s*x (though I have 1920x1200 now, i think I would say the same for anything above 640x480; And I don't even dare to think about higher res.) :sigh:

I'm blind ha! seriously though the thread title font is bloody massive , have to zoom out or I'd get a headache . Like everything with Opera lately the older way was better. I can just imagine if I was in Opera board meetings I'd want to strangle everyone. New Opera is Poochi!

I pretty much agree.
Did Opera develop the old forum software or was it a 3rd party app?

In-house, as far as I remember.

I figured out that this may go here as well...
I'd like to see a poll option here some day. Sure, it's after normal formatting and smilies get implemented;)

How about getting back the ability to subscribe to a thread. There's a time saver.

'Flag this!' button is not displayed with Opera Mini,, for a short while it was present with mini6.0 and reload the page without any effect so why this popup form (over+lightbox?) is not functional? . Also quote button is pro forma and I don't see how should work as copy-paste function (opera mini).
