Search browser copying math problems to clipboard when I hit enter

I usually use my computer for quick math that I may need to do, and thus input these into the search bar.
Previously, hitting enter would just search the math onto google and pull up the google calculator where I could conveniently do more calculations. However, now there is a (presumably new?) feature that doesn't allow me to proceed to the google calculator and instead just copies whatever answer I got to the clipboard.
Is there any way to disable this feature? I tried looking for similar threads but I don't even know what to search and nothing popped up.

I wasn't aware of this feature but I see what you mean. If instead of
ENTER
you pressDown Arrow
(to select the Google search) and thenENTER
, does it do what it did before? -

@alobpreis Yes, now it does! I'm guessing I'll just have to get used to using that method. Thanks.

I would love for an option to disable this aswell. Doing quick currency conversions (i.e 145 AUD to NOK) now gives me the results on the clipboard, which I totally dont need.

@rutgerson big same here, especially since it seems to really not understand how things work. I keep getting suggested conversion from GBP to GBP, which is super useful /s but also it apparently does not understand when I ask for miles, giving me inches instead??

@leocg that's what I did at first, but it gave me in inches for some reason and even as I kept going it kept giving me in inches.
It's not doing it again, but especially now I know this kind of bug can happen at any time, I just want a way to disable the damn thing.I've been having so many issues with GX lately I'm strongly considering switching back to Chrome at this point…

Clearly the "in" is taken as inches. You can try as as leocg said, of course, or if you want to be sure, "800 km to miles".

I need a way to disable this too. I typed '9mm by the inch' into the search bar in order to find the data set at http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/9luger.html, but hitting enter just copied 0.35 into my clipboard very unhelpfully.
