WhatsApp for Opera stopped working

With the latest WhatApp update from today (22. July 2022) WhatsApp in Opera Sidebar stopped working totally.
It shows an empty area with just "Error" in the title bar.

I have a very similar error in the past few days -- I manage to log in, but there are no conversations shown. Only when someone sends a message to me, the corresponding thread (and only that one) is shown.

My sidebbar is coming up with errors on both messenger and Whataspp but not Aria or Chatgpt
