Opera ignoring Windows Appearance settings

I am running the Opera on Windows-7. The new Opera versions don't want to follow the Windows appearance settings.
The horizontal and vertical scrollbars are too narrow, and are difficult to grab. I can adjust the scrollbar widths in the Windows Appearance settings, which affects all other programs that I use, but Opera does not change.The same probelm occurs with the window borders, for dragging to resize the window. In Opera, these borders are very narrow and difficult to grab. The Windows setting for Active Window border setting is ignored by Opera.
The title bar is also non-standard in Opera. The minimize/restore/close buttons are running off of the edge of the window, and changing the Widnows setting for Active Title Bar size affects all other programs I use except Opera.
Is there any setting or extension or any way to fix this?

In Windows 7, I open the Control Panel and go to Personalization / Window Color, which brings up the "Window Color and Appearance" settings.
Any changes I apply to these to these settings affect every program I have open except the new Opera (21.0.1432.67).
For a simple example, select "Scrollbar" and increase the "Size" setting to something much larger, like from 20 to 50. The vertical scrollbar in Opera does not change. In every other program, the scrollbar becomes very wide and easier to grab with the mouse pointer.leocg :

This comment only mentions the text scaling. Does this imply that the Opera team is still working on correcting all of the window appearance settings?

I cannot speak to the problems sneas refers to, with the horizontal and vertical scrollbars, or the window borders, for dragging to resize the window, etc. When you click on Advanced Appearance Settings in the Personalization feature of Windows 7, there are 21 or so Desktop settings that can be adjusted. It wasn't entirely intuitive, what did what.
However, I don't want people to think that the accessibility parts of Windows Personalization are useless with Opera 20-21. I have seen significant changes to Opera 20/21 (as have others) upon using the Personalization/Windows Color/Advanced Appearance Settings feature which brings up the "Window Color and Appearance" settings of Windows 7. The link is to my last comment on the thread, in response to a poster, casaet, saying it had worked for him. The entire thread is informative. The key adjustments we made were to two of the desktop settings (out of the 21 settings that could be adjusted), Message Box and Menus. Both of those could significantly affect the appearance of different parts of Opera.
In an earlier post in that thread, I noted: "This time, if you want to play with adjusting the caption of the bookmarks, just adjust "Message Box" in the items of the drop-down menu (after you click on Advance Appearance Settings) (which is part of Microsoft's Personalize feature). I just did it, and just to test, increased font size from 9-11, and selected bold. My bookmarks are all bold now [I meant, the personal bookmarks bar that goes across the top of Opera 21]. :)"
And my adjustment of the Windows 7 Personalization Menus setting definitely aided/tweaked the appearance of my Opera menus.
