[Solved]How to remove the Warning message in Dev Console?
-

Yes, this is ridiculous. I get it that the general public need to be protected from scammers but if I am a developer, then I need a way to turn this off. Surely Opera's own developers don't have this cluttering up their screen and distracting their attention.
Opera: please give us a setting to disable the warning.

Please give us developers the option to remove this message, it's annoying!

Please let us turn this off! I'll have to use Chrome for development until this is fixed

Please fix this! This is the worst "feature" ever and really condescending.

Really getting annoyed for the last few days. And just registered to complain about this warning.
Opera opens dev tools maximized, which is also annoying and I sent an email to opera developers some time ago. And now this. I wonder if they're trying developers to go back to Chrome or something.

@sajjad-aliii My Developer Tools opens on the right, so it must be possible to not open maximized.

Please, each one of you send a report bug/improvement suggestion so they actually deal with it, I don't think any opera's dev really gives a s... about this forum

@remimolinero 100% true, but I also don't think they really care about the bug report or feature requests, either. I've filed them before and never received a response.

@remimolinero That would just make the ones responsible for the bug report system to waste time marking the reports as duplicated/invalid and, therefore, not looking into other (more) important issues.
Instead, people write, here in this topic, some user cases showing why that message should not be there.

Use cases? You serious? Have you tried debugging some real code in Opera DevTools?
- unless you have got real big monitor for debugging, this warning just wastes about two or three lines of valuable space
- even on big screen it is just distracting nuisance
- developers usually know what they are doing, no need to protect everyone from themselves (or no need to insult developers - whichever reason reads more understandable)

This worked for me : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/72462196/red-warning-message-in-opera-console

To sum it up for the confused, developers are frustrated with this change because it blocks valuable real estate in the DevTools console.
While the general concept of warning regular users that they could be a victim of a scam is a great idea, developers should have an option to turn it off, be it in the DevTools settings or Opera settings.
The solution provided in the Stack Overflow link worked like a charm for me, but it is still frustrating that the PMs at Opera didn't think this through.
Hopefully, the Opera team can swiftly release an option to disable this warning. -

+1, please allow us to dismiss this warning
As a developer this is very patronising, even if there is some kind of developer mode that we need to activate this is wasting a lot of valuable screen space and driving me back to chrome... -

Oh! A warning! Cool....I'm a developer and I don't need a warning.
Please allow to be dismissed. -

@joeri-thys I appreciate this solution, thanks for sharing, but we shouldn't need to develop our own extension (or even install one from the store) to remove this message.
