For about 3 weeks, Opera gx no longer wants to launch,
As said in the title, it crashes, then restarts, and then re-crashes and restarts, about 3/4 times before staying off.
I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it didn't work.
I also install Opera gx on my desktop in a folder named "Opera Test".
It does the same thing, (strat, crash, restart, re crash ...)So I switched to Opera and is works
Can you help me ?
(I am French and I do not speak English very well, if you have misunderstood something please point it out to me, I will try to rephrase)

Maybe your computer is too slow for Opera GX
I would try uninstaling and deleting appdata and program data.
(just do alt + R then write appdata and open) -

Hello everyone.
Since yesterday, January 27, 2021, my GX browser is reporting a failure.
When I start it, it loads the Opera GX presentation and then the browser closes and opens 3 or 4 times in a row and then closes completely and does not work.
I have tried to uninstall it and cleaned any trace of my system to reinstall it cleanly and the problem persists.
When I install again and start for the first time, it works fine. But once I close it and want to reopen it, the same problem appears, making it impossible to use.
I would appreciate help in this regard. -

At version 72.0.3815.487, I think it updated on the 31st January (I might be wrong). It was all working good till the afternoon of 1st February. And after that, I open it, it crashes instantly, opens itself again, and crashes again, and this goes on for like 3-4 times and then it doesn't start again. I tried reinstalling first using the reinstall option in the installer, didn't help. Then I uninstalled completely, removed all folders and reinstalled, it worked once. And then the next time booting it up again, same issue. Running as Administrator didn't help. Normal Opera is working fine.

@jonaslang123 Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I have tried a lot of stuff, changing permissions in regedit and all that sorts, nothing works. I'm having to fall back to normal Opera for now. It really is a pain in the back switching your main browser.

@deathstalkersid Normal Opera is not working, too in my case.

@jonaslang123 Can you check your event viewer and see if there's any error or something at the time of the crash?

@deathstalkersid No, there are no administrative events occurring. And you?

@jonaslang123 It shows a warning: "The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

I have tried granting more permissions and all, but doesn't work. -

@burnout426 This is definitely not my problem. I have all this checked on my PC and none of this is active. Attached error report of Opera GX taken from the registry of the application itself, to see if it helps.

Whenever I launch Opera GX it keeps crash looping. It launches for a couple seconds and then crashes immediately after. Then relaunches and crashes again. Anyone with any tips or anything?

I had the same problem, Opera was working fine then i saw an error message on the background, it was about opera gx auto update i closed the error and continued watching youtube, the next day (which is today) i opened the browser everything was normal then i saw the update so i updated the browser. But when i tried to open it it came up with a splash screen then closed itself and never opened, i tried re-installing, running it as administrator but none worked, so i think its about an update that caused the problem.
