Are you talking news in your start page, or the actual news page? You can't change the news on the start page other than turning it off. The actual news page allows you to select specific sources - or add your own.

News on start page should adapt to your browsing history and also to your likes and dislikes.

the news on the start page , its so annoying !!
i just learned today that Karl died ! he was at the bottom of the page, after some stupid Canada hockey team stuff !!

i thought my personal news would feed into the start page ? are they going to fix this ?

This is how it works. Like I said, it should adapt to your browsing history and your feedback of the news.
