Hi! We have released Opera for Android 55 (55.0.2719.50560) . This version introduces a revamped night mode with eye-saver, night mode scheduling, support for dark web pages, improved news support and bottom bar tab-switching gestures.

More changes:

• Chromium 77
• Android 10 support
• Fixed VPN connection issues

Please try the new version and leave a comment with any feedback you may have for us.

We're gradually rolling out the new version. It will be available to all users within a week.

I installed version 55 but the option "Dark web pages" don’t exist!

I have the latest versions of Opera on both PC and Android and the VPN still doesn't connect for me.
I live in Iran.

I really like the new option for dark web pages but I've seen that it also changes pages that are already dark (some of them looks worse with the dark mode). I think Opera should try to detect the background color and if it is a dark tone then do not modify them.

Anyway, thank you very much for those improvements.

Hello, after upgrading from version 54 to 55, there was an annoying error with screen shifting while playing a browser game. Earlier in version 54 this error did not occur.
I recorded this bug on this video

I loved this Opera Android 55 version very much. The dark mode feature is pretty awesome. First I get to know about this from Facebook.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. Can you disable "Force enable zoom" and check if the problem still happens?
This settings can be found in O menu, Settings, "Force enable zoom"
