I'm seeing this type of message very often. It pops up, and unless I turn off ad block I can't read website.

@corey There is an option to avoid those anti adblocker messages, maybe you can try it.

@leocg what option is that? turn off ad blocker? use a different news site? The built in ad blocker has been working fine until recently, now a lot of sites recognise it.

              @leocg
              Where is that option?

I've also tried anti ad-block killer and it doesn't work (at least not in Opera).

@magma500 In the adblocker settings, go to the list manager section.

It uses list from anti ad-block killer I've linked above. I haven't tested in extensively, but i.e. it doesn't work on DailyMail.

@revittony how to do exactly what?

Any site can detect adblocker and anti-adblocker-blocker etc etc - this is ongoing battle. For daily mail you could disable javascript - at first glance site looked pretty normal without scripting enabled.

                      Check out https://filterlists.com - https://github.com/reek/anti-adblock-killer/. - Not enough -.

uBlock and its default lists mostly has no problems.

Tried it. "Add" button doesn't work for exclusion and inclusion lists.

@corey There are multiple ways sites detect adblocking. The simplest is to use site code to sniff the visiting browser's user agent string and block content displays for browsers known to contain built-in adblocking. Another is to insert JavaScript calls to their ads and block content displays unless a proper ad-server reply is received (to indicate blocking has not occurred)... blocking the JavaScript when visiting such a site may very well result in the site automatically refusing to serve content or to cripple the site's useful functionality. As @donq noted, it's an ongoing battle as websites struggle to cover operating costs via ad displays and users struggle to not be overwhelmed by ads and to not have their systems attacked by rogue JavaScripted ad-servers. So the battle continues and evolves. "Free" sounds great - until somebody has to cover the costs somehow...

There are some ways to defeat adblock detection.
Check it - https://adlock.com/blog/how-to-stop-ad-blocker-detection-on-websites/ . I suppose everyone can find something new and interesting in this article.
But companies which provide advertising services have huge budgets. This is the money of manufacturers which they are willing to spend for their services and goods.

@blackbird71 Hey guys I found a trick/solution that worked on my Opera app on my android phone.

In the url line at the top of the window, on the right, click the reader mode icon. It removes the Adblocker window which blocks your ability to see the webpage, and the webpage appears so you can read it.

@roberto2525 Opera for desktops doesn't have it.

@leocg For my Opera browser on Windows laptops, I just installed the extension called "uBlock Origin" and I can view all websites without problems. I never get the "You're using an Adblocker" window anymore.
