Taskbat Pin doesn't work

Same problem. Exactly how it works is I pin it to taskbar, close GX, it still looks pinned. But clicking icon to run Opera immediately unpins the icon. Windows 1903 here.

The installer pinned it for me. For some reason the Opera icon vanished, but when I ran Opera from a shortcut the pinned icon came back (without me pinning it myself).
I don't know about GX, but we learned long ago that you can't pin Opera that way. If the installer doesn't create a taskbar icon for you, you can't do it yourself.

Do you also have this problem? Every time you turn off the browser, the button disappears. Can anything be done about it?

I have the same problem. Open Opera, pin it to the task bar, closes it, open from the pinned icon, this icon disappears and I have to pin again. I tried to re-install it twice, tried to change the installation folder and to "install for all users", but nothing worked. Hope to find a fix soon cause its very annoying. Windows 10 v1903 here.

@wesll-ey @wesll-ey To solve it, go to Opera's install folder, find the "launcher.exe' and mannually drag it to the taskbar, then it should not unpin itself anymore. The default path for the regular Opera Browser is C:\Program Files\Opera , and for Opera GX is C:\Users\YourUserHere\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera GX .
It should work

@tparavani Yeah, it works, thanks! At least we have a workaround for now. I just do hope they will fix it soon.

Hello, I have such a problem that I can not attach to the taskbar the two icons of different Opera and Opera GX browsers.
The film that I recorded shows the problem most:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9YbzLHpOkg&feature=youtu.be
How to make these icons not disappear after starting the program?
Sorry for my english.

I update the opera GX to the LVL 1 (core: 60.0.3255.50962) and the problem stays there
