Sorry again! I'm far too distracted to obviously do something right. Sends 3 pictures that I think explain my set.

Yea sorry, I come into the Viaplay menu, and I can choose the program, the file looks like it starts but
jumps directly to the end without starting...

After trying to play the video, you can goto the URL opera://media-internals and click on the box for a player to expand it to see all the details. A screenshot of that too might help.

Also, install https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-switcher-5/ and mask as Chrome for Windows to see if it makes a difference.

Are you using Opera's VPN and or Opera's adblocker? Have any extensions installed that might interfere?

I did try Viaplay in Vivaldi browser, and it works!
So I get the media-internals from Vivaldi also...
Even installed Flash player for both Opera and Vivaldi.

Thanks for the media-internal logs. Nothing too revealing that I personally see unfortunately. I'll see if someone else can take a look.

Two other things to try:

Goto the URL opera://settings/system and disable "Hardware acceleration", restart Opera and try again. It it doesn't help, turn it back on.

Goto the URL opera://flags/#autoplay-policy, set it to "No user gesture required" and try again.

Also, if you could, goto the URL opera://gpu and post that.

And, try the user agent switcher to mask as Chrome.

If that doesn't work, goto https://www.opera.com/download and download the latest "developer" version and test it it. If it works there, things will probably work when 61 gets to stable.

If everything else fails, you could file a bug report and in addition to describing everything, mention this thread. Take note of the bug number and email address that you get when you file a report (if it doesn't show one, at least post the description you used). Then, for Opera to test, you'd need to tell them where you're located and give them your login info for viaplay, so they can actually test themselves. You'd change it after they're done testing of course.
