Constant Crashing

For the last two weeks, Opera kept crashing a few times every day to simple clicks. Opening new tabs, clicking links, and pretty much any mouse command whatsoever. This applies to various websites, and I keep losing any tabs I have open or anything I'm doing at that moment. When I open Opera back up, everything I had open prior is gone. I'm afraid to type text or do anything now because of how much Opera is crashing.

I was going down that list, and in the part where it says to reset the settings to default, I assumed that this was the right way to do it. I just lost all of my data. Bookmarks, speed dial, and everything.

I deleted the Profile and Cache folders shown in the Paths section of Opera's About page.

There was no clarification on how to reset the settings. So I had to look it up, and I followed that article assuming that is how it's done, but apparently, it's not. What would've been the right way?
Is there a way I can restore what was lost?

First of all, thank you so much for suggesting synchronization. I forgot all about that. I couldn't recover my speed dial, but I can see that all of my bookmarks have been recovered.
In regards to resetting the settings, is this option available for Mac users as well? Because I'm not seeing it.

Hi @bleduc1 , this was due to a very bad crash bug that was fixed in version 51.0.2830.62. Due to unrelated concerns we weren't automatically updating users to newer versions in the last two weeks which meant that you might not have received the fix automatically. You should be updated to a newer version now.

@leocg Yes, the speed dial I lost was in that location. Excellent.
@avl Thank you for the news. That is great to hear.
