There was no clarification on how to reset the settings. So I had to look it up, and I followed that article assuming that is how it's done, but apparently, it's not. What would've been the right way?

Is there a way I can restore what was lost?

@bleduc1 If you go to the settings page, you will see an option to reset them to default.

Also the F. A. Q says to rename the profile folder to create a new one.

First of all, thank you so much for suggesting synchronization. I forgot all about that. I couldn't recover my speed dial, but I can see that all of my bookmarks have been recovered.

In regards to resetting the settings, is this option available for Mac users as well? Because I'm not seeing it.

Regarding the option to reset the settings, I don't know.

Hi @bleduc1 , this was due to a very bad crash bug that was fixed in version 51.0.2830.62. Due to unrelated concerns we weren't automatically updating users to newer versions in the last two weeks which meant that you might not have received the fix automatically. You should be updated to a newer version now.
