Hi everyone,
I have a huge problem... suddenly, "United States" disappeared from the list. I am only getting "Europe" and "Optimal location" as the options. I desperately need to set location to "United States". Please help!
P.S. This is not temporary i.e. the server is unavailable, it is permanent and happened after I restarted the PC. Thanks! -

@operamark
Try using the Stable version, Beta and Dev upgraded to a new VPN servers scheme, if I'm not wrong, Stable not upgraded yet.
Otherwise, you can try UltraSurf.

Thank you everyone for responding. I checked the version and it's 51. Specifically, it is 51.0.2791.0.
As far as I understand, a change has been made which caused "United States" to disappear from the list. Question is, how exactly do I revert this change or install a version that has United States VPN? Thank you! -

@leocg , thank you for that clarification. Very important question: how do I prevent it from running updates? In other words I want to install the version that has "United States" (not "Americas" but U.S. only) and prevent it from updating in the future.

@operamark As Surfeasy is bing replaced as the VPN provider, most probably will won't be able to connect to their servers as soon as the move to the new servers are completed.
Anyway, to avoid automatic updates just rename the auto updater executable in Opera's installation directory.

Didn't read about, but I suppose they will enable other continents access before launch the VPN upgrade on the Stable version.

What I am saying is I need to have United States specifically and it was always there until it disappeared on me yesterday. What is the solution, other than buying a private monthly VPN service?

Does anyone know what the balance of "Americas" is going to be? I'm assuming South America 0%, U.S. the high majority, and Canada the rest. Is that about right?

@sgunhouse Hey Opera: How about USING the US location to host the US VPN server? SO frustrating. I just saw at https://support.maxmind.com/geoip-data-correction-request/ , they state, "We do not accept requests to change anonymous proxy or VPN IP addresses."
