If the sidebar is not pinned, you'd only be able to access it while on the Speed dial page - they probably thought you didn't need it then.

@sgunhouse, unpinned, I don't find it on the speed dial page. Is there a trick? I can get it with Ctrl_shift 5, but needing several fingers is not exactly Opera-like.

Did you right click on the navigation sidebar and checked if snapshot is enabled?

A right click on the unpinned sidebar does not show me an option to enable snapshot. A right click on the pinned sidebar does. But it is pinning the sidebar I want to avoid. I like the cleaner look of webpages without the sidebar. So with snapshot enabled and sidebar unpinned my only access to shapshot is Ctrl-Shift-5, is that right? Seems so far to be the case.

Also on the unpinned Reborn sidebar not all links work vice versa: such as from settings page to speed dial. I reckon the devs keep it pinned as it's been quite long... due... also... the sidebars issue 🙂

There is no snapshot icon in an unpinned sidebar, since you'd only be able to take snapshots of your speed dial page in that case. Or maybe I should say "was no snapshot icon", as there is now in Developer 51. I did look for it previously myself, it wasn't there.

It's in the O-menu, probably launcable by kbshortcut.

Could ext bar (right of omnibox) have a button for Snap? Dunno.. But likely is that extensions can tap into 'Snap API' as well... Dunno.

@sgunhouse said in Snapshot icon missed if sidebar unpinned.:

snapshot icon in an unpinned sidebar

snapshot icon is in unpinned sidebar if right click enabled on dev 51.0.2776.0 (PGO) beta 50.0.2762.9 (PGO But not on 49.0.2725.34 (PGO) but is if sidebar is pinned..

Make Reborn sidebar optionally hover in/out from left side by mouse/touch if not wanting it pinned... <--- as an option... 👍
