Readability issue

I agree. I don't know if it's a font style/typeface issue or simply a text-color issue. For some reason, the thread text seems to render grayish in appearance rather than true black, and that adds to or creates a general blurriness effect. Simply making the text larger helps, but it's not a cure for the contrast/blurry issue. (FWIW, Vivaldi's forums which use a similar forum engine have a better black-on-white textual rendering in threads, so it seems like there ought to be some way of improving this.)
Otherwise, the new forum is a huge improvement thus far.

This shows a comparison of Opera's and Vivaldi's forum thread font. (FWIW, both happened to be taken with Vivaldi-browser windows on a Win10-64 system with default fonts.) -

For me too - please use black text and somewhat more weighty font. This everywhere recommended (darker) gray on (lighter) gray makes my eyes hurt.
Another problem (I don't want to create just new topic, because this is readabilty issua too) - can you add some settings to avoid wasting space? Unused areas around and between single posts waste maybe 60% of screen estate and break text flow - sure I could hack your CSS a bit, but some configuration options would benefit other users too.

Could you change the text color to black? I know, artistic and stuff, but this color is hard to read. You should also increase the font size.

The contrast between the textboxes (postings) and the background is too low. Textboxes in white are fine, but the background could be a darker grey.

Why did someone tell me to look at my settings for the forum? There is nothing in there about font colour.

Much better. Thank you.The font size is still an issue, but at least it can be solved with zooming in.

@nekomajin Glad we could help. If you'd like to see another small (1px to be exact) change for sake of readability - check Forums tomorrow.

The font size and the font itself is definitely still a problem, just look at the horizontal blur of T, e, z, etc.
Even if I set it to 110% I still think I have to go to the doctor for my eyes. Compare 110% zoom in blogs.opera.com to see how much better it looks there.
vs. 110% there:

What have the forum builders got against black text? If the text were simply made black, it would make things much easier to read.

You mean a whole pixel? Unbelievable!16px is a common font size. Why do you have to play with this too?
