Opera drops downloads

Every time I try to download smt (last time at 198mb file) opera drops download. It tells that it's completed, but file has only 1/10 of actual size. I use latest version with VPN enabled

Known VPN-related issue. If possible, don't use the VPN when downloading files.

I actually notice this issue more on the Singapore server than any place else. You dont have to disable the VPN either: switching servers usually solves the problem. If the OP could specify which server was affected, it might be helpful for statistical purposes.

I had this problem, when my router wasn't stable enough.
With time, they come less dependable. What i said might have nothing to do with your issue though.

My ( video ) downloads stop saying completed under 32 MB ( sometimes 15 , 16 , 17 MB ) when VPN is on. The download finishes successfully when VPN is off.

Another option I tried is starting with VPN off , waiting the download to continue till 100 MB and then set VPN on. This also does complete the download successfully.

I observe this since about mid May 2017. Earlier there was no problem.

Same here. If VPN is enabled, downloads abort after some megabytes (most of the times at around 10 MB) if they are handled through an SSL protected download connection. VPN enabled downloads without SSL protection work for me.
