best free compatible virus protection

I'm new with Opera browser, and new to PC's. Can anyone suggest the best free anti-viral package that works well with Opera 39? thanks.

I think any antivirus should work well with any browser. The free antivirus that I always suggest are Avira, Avast! and AVG. From comparatives found online these are usually the best.

for my part I use Comodo internet security (with firewall) and works fine!

I use Avira on this laptop and Avast on another, both work well (as long as you don't mind the occasional ads in the corner of the screen - not in the browser). Both ask you to upgrade to the paid version about once a day ...

Windows Defender. As said, any antivirus should should work with Opera.
