@alexscarlet42 Checked the netlog in Opera GX when it downloaded and installed the live wallpaper helper. It used this link. You can replace the version in the link with 1 lower to download the previous version for example. Just uninstall the current version before you install the older version.

You can then post your findings on when it regressed if it indeed used to work.
Opera GX crashes after opening animation.

I can't analyze the dmp files, but try this:

Open up a command prompt and launch Opera GX like this:
"%LocalAppData%\Programs\Opera GX\launcher.exe" --disable-gpu --disable-extensions
to test if Opera then opens. If so, try to see if there's a crash ID for the crash and post the ID here.

Also, see https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/known_issues/#wiki_opera_closes_right_away for why Opera might close (not necessarily a crash) right after the startup animation.

Make sure RGX is off at the URL opera://settings/lucidMode.

Make sure hardware acceleration is on at the URL opera://settings/system.

Adjust the Angle flag for your GPU if needed.
