@leocg i tried going through all my settings because the only extension i have is the Opera adblocker and turning that off didnt work.

I don't know what happened or what I did, but now Opera doesn't crash

The only thing I changed that I didn't change back was the prediction fill for the search bar

@cerzel for me that doesn't even work in standard Opera anymore.

The sidebar opens over the open webpage instead of taking up it's own section of the browser window.

Which is a shame. I loved that feature, allowed me to have "2 tabs open at the same time in 1 window".
