if Opera really wants to be against ads on the net, then it's also against funding of 99% of websites
I don't really think that 99% of the sites use ads or even rely on them.
And Opera is not against ads but against the way ads work nowadays.
Also, is up to the user to enable the ad-blocker or not, being it even possible to be disabled on a site basis. So if you or anyone think that a site deserves to have their ads displayed, you can just disable the ad-blocker for that site.
when Opera used to be a browser designed for the web not against it.
Opera is not against the web. On the contrary, Opera is trying to make the web a better place.
And Opera didn't create the ad-blockers, Opera just incorporated as a native feature something that lots of people have already been using in their daily lives.
Ad makers and site owners/creators will have to rethink the use of ads as people don't like those intrusive, irrelevant and repetitive that many sites use.
