And there it came.... 4 days with a orange exclamation mark, suddenly it became green.... I just left it as it was, and it sorted it out itself...

I've signed into sync and its not downloading anything. No history, no bookmarks, nothing... Why?? How can I even see data and bookmarks?

I've tried using Opera sync several times over the last year and it NEVER works... what the hell??

I have the same problem here, I have tried all old passwords and everything I have ever used as a password, yet none of them work. This has happened as I recently got a new laptop as old one was not working properly. I never set up a passphrase. This needs to be fixed.

(got just some dials, not all)

However, it seems to me there's nobody interested in user's problems (after "recent" changes in Opera).
It's a shame...

What is ' quick finder'? Speed Dial? If so then you can find your speed dials from other devices in ' other speed dials'.

If he completely reinstalled his OS - to the point of needing to recreate the user account - then the actual password used wouldn't matter. If you have to recreate the account then your locally-stored passwords would be unreadable. Not that it should matter to Sync.

Hi, even after 5 months, is still a big problem. Even with the method you mentioned, is synced few data only. How can i sync all history data and bookmarks with devices? I mean ALL. Exactly what i search in one device, will be appeared to the other.

@leocg They were disabled initially, but had totally disappeared from the extensions page after I restarted Opera.
Sinchronization continues to work after logging out.

If you have changed your Opera password or your OS one, Sync may be asking for the old password.

There are no other ways to retrieve your synced passwords, at least as far as I know.

Quick question, not sure it was 100% answered here, but in https://sync.opera.com/web/, how could I remove an old device? I've deleted bookmarks from the old device but can still see it in the sync page.

Did you try to logout and login again in all devices? Passwords sync is enabled on all of them? Did you remove passwords in any of them?
