Opera Mini always was a proxy browser.
It's intent to save data via opera proxy server. That's not the problem. The problem is that still there has many problems & bugs in Opera Mini. Though we continuously report it to Opera but Opera / Opera Developers seems careless about this. They don't give a damn. When a new version is released they create more problems with Opera Mini rather than fix any problem.

yep opening like being, nothing shows dont. only startup (loading) display appearing. which version im not sure? just recently july 2018 in installed i phone to.

And you could try opera for Android or Opera Touch.
Have my favorites (file bookmark.html) in Opera Mini.

I don't know Mini's Bookmarks managing.
If uses .html file, on a Rooted phone, maybe you can replace the file.

If there's no Sync available, copy the file to the Phone or SD.
Open it with file explorer.

Save the local path as a Bookmark.

Not the same but you'll have access.

Opera Mini is different and for low-end devices. But Opera Mobile was preloaded on my Galaxy phone and it seems that now it's converted Mini silently without any prompt by an update. I just wanted to confirm this.

@yeswap no,I don't have any tab open whenever I close it.I always cleary browsing history before closing opera mini.I also don't have news turned on. Although the problem exists.

"Good news everyone" - it took a while, but the bookmarks DID reload.😁

They are recovered. Praise the Lord!
And thank you Opera!

While I am aware that exporting and SAVING bookmarks (MANUALLY) is (supposedly) possible using the Opera browser for desktop/laptop computers, my question is:

Is there a way to export (and save to an html file) bookmarks from any of Opera's mobile browsers?

Real back-up always needs redundancy.

If you are reading this Opera developers, please understand:
Opera IS a great browser, but so many things can go wrong.
A simple export-to-html would solve the data loss risk, in my humble opinion.

I have a Nokia 8 now, previously had a Samsung Galaxy S5. I turned off a phone feature, namely the phone's own Data Saver. Now, Extreme mode saves more data, but Automatic and High still do nothing. No data saved and no ads blocked. Any more bright ideas?

Okay, but avoiding updates for years also prevents you from getting security updates, what means that you may be highly vulnerable to data stealing, etc.
