@leocg It's a shame, it's the browser that I use in all my devices, I'll have to give up using other browsers in this device, what I find strange is that there was a time when it worked well, but it was a while ago. Thank you anyway.

I can live with that; however the very spotty malfunctions/but that has made the password function inoperable for many sites is unacceptable, whereas O46 was working perfectly.

Is there any way to regress back to O46???

@leocg No problem. I'm using Samsung Internet Browser, which has this feature, but I would prefer Opera for other reasons. Unfortunately, because of AMOLED screens, this is a must have function in longterm.
I couldn't check if the Hide statusbar setting is available in non Samsung devices.

exactly, that's not a playstore download, if you tried more than once and gotten the same message it's probably a good thing as it might be a badly altered file.

@sgunhouse Sure. I did it multiple times, trying to disable and then re-enable sync but it still doesn’t work.
After update - Opera wont work over WiFi, works great on data connection

I'm having freezing issues as well, but I'm on a Galaxy S8. It most often happens when an external app tries to call Opera to open a link, but it's also happened just tapping the Opera icon to bring up the browser manually.
