  Private tabs/windows are meant to avoid that the navigation can be tracked locally by not keeping any traces of it after the session ends.
  They were never meant to block data from being sent to sites.

  I am aware of that. The issue is that data is being sent to Google's servers even when I have no intention of performing a search. Limited tracking is still possible without data being saved locally. A user typing in a partial url address will have search predictions offered to them. How is that right?

  Why not keep the behaviour consistent between the desktop and android versions?

  So is there a way to change back?? I found the archive of old versions but they're OLD versions. I just want whichever one I had two weeks ago.

  Apparently this new version also switched the format for uploading pictures to a website. The old version took me right to my gallery where I could easily choose a picture, but now the upload process involves going through laggy folders and subdirectories. Why do this? I don't understand...

  it is happen on any devices. Sony Xperia Z3 compact (5.1.1), Denver TAD-10023 (4.1.1), Samsung Galaxy S3 mini (4.4.4), HP slate 21 (4.4.4), Sony Xperia E4 (4.4.4), etc... i only have like 30 favorites stored

  It worked!

  With that, the issue is solved. I have no idea how though; it doesn't make sense.

  In my smartphone, sometimes, when I enter some web pages like this, I hangs medium load and is not practically nothing, is no problem pages that it happens in most sites but then from my pc and from an android that I have the same connection everything works perfect not to do the truth: S.

  Many sites with sensitive information (such as banks, brokerages, etc) are coded to prevent saving login information. This is for your protection to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

  This is unfortunate. There is such a thing as too much security, like how the guy was able to crash the German plan because the cockpit was too secure. and the apple fiasco. On one hand they want us to have "strong" passwords and to keep changing them so that it is not something that will be easily remembered and a pain to enter on a mobile phone. Then try to prevent auto login.

  And it is not entirely for our security, partly for theirs to avoid liability and embarrassment

  zero chance of opera spending time to develop a new browser for a dead platform. nobody anywhere is supporting Symbian, whatsapp are giving up dailymobile has closed so it's time to move on (not to cheap Android though)...

  I'm willing to pay to get rid of "Discover"!!!

  ... and those occasional adverts masquerading as speed dials that suddenly appear in Opera Mobile.

  Although I arguably still have a valid licence from when Opera Mobile was a paid for product several years ago.

  It's somewhat ironic that the Opera Blog recently published an article regards applications using up data in the background (sometimes uneccesarily or against the wishes of the user) while Opera themselves produce a browser that does exactly that. The solution is stopping it, not compressing it.

  Opera Mini is sort of half a browser. The page content is pre-rendered on the Opera Mini servers before being sent to your device to be displayed. Opera for Android is a full browser (based on Chromium) and as such does not require pre-rendering on an external server, though Opera does include a compressing proxy named Turbo if you want to reduce your bandwidth usage.

  I don't use Mini, but I am told there are some website features it does not support which the full Opera does.

  Not possible afaik. You can save a page for offline reading but it's not something meaning for permanent save.
