Currently opera for android does not allow autoplay of video or audio. Instead the video or audio will be frozen, requiring the user to press play. It does not even always work, as many videos have custom controls and it seems opera does not recognize the users pressing of play on custom controls so opera does not allow the media to play.
This happens on even youtube videos. On youtube videos, the video attempts to autoplay but fails due to mobile browser design. When the user manually taps the video it does not fix itself or begin to play. Instead the user must pause the video by tapping it, and press the play button that is located in the bottom left corner. It often times is tricky to do. The screen will resize or until you figure this out you simply go without streaming video.
As an end user I would like to see the functionality of the video play fixed.
I would like to see an option to allow video auto plays to work, be it I prefer to see the video autoplay than not.
An option of requiring one tap to enable media for the entire page should also be added so one does not need to fiddle with the broken autoplay for multiple videos.
