I suppose it's a feature, not a bug (sigh !!).

But I think I prefer it the way it was when it would auto hide.
A useful feature would be to add a switch to allow the use to auto hide the tab bar or not.
Disabling: "Suchen nach brandheißen Themen" – "searching for hot topics" ...

I agree, bring back auto hide of the tab bar.

On small screens real estate is too valuable to be taken by a tab bar when it would be better scrolled out of the way.

Even better add a switch to the settings menu to allow auto hide or not.
Plenty of browsers less noteworthy than Opera allow this function.
How can I apply for Opera browser news or blog program?

@kaosz86 It's already possible in the beta version, you just have to wait until beta becomes stable. It has nothing to do with incompetence. It's the normal process of software development.

For anyone interested I found a way to add Google as a new search engine...
Go to Google.com type something in the search field, tap it and you're offered to add Google as new search engine, now tap address bar, then the icon of your currently default search engine and change it to Google.

If I might add this is kinda stupid, why wouldn't you just allow it to be selected in settings?

And those kind of pop-ups may be difficult to block.
