Okay you can switch to the old controls by turning off New Media Controls in opera://flags

@smnstrk Of course there are FTP Clients, Web Servers, etc. But you must be an engineer to set them up! 😃
And if you are not an engineer, you have cloud solutions, very easy and NOT FREE!!! Bingo!!!
Opera is free, so, of course, the staff don't want to build a killer app' for peanuts, I understand! 😉
Make it possible to open new links or web pages in the same tab again.

Hey, thank you for the quick response. The Picture download behaviour is ok for me, i just think the "normal" download behaviour could be optimized. I get asked on almost every "normal" Download, where i want to save this, but i already defined in options, that it should go to C:\Downloads and the checkbox "Ask before every download where to save" is unchecked. 😕

You can also open the Speed Dial, right-click that tab and choose "Close Other Tabs". That would leave only Speed Dial open.

If you're referring to extensions and you don't want to use them, try turning off cookies and adding exceptions as concretable suggested. There's already a site settings option that is coming, that'll make adding exceptions much easier.
