If you edit the filename back to the original, then it will ask to overwrite. That's it at this time.

I agree with you. Although compiling ffmpeg yourself isn't hard, it's not for regular users. Also, most users don't even know about this and wont get a working solution at all, which is very sad. At least I think info about this problem with ffmpeg should be pinned (an announcement) in this forum category.

Afaik, you can't pan in Linux.

Install this extension to get smooth scrolling: https://addons.opera.com/extensions/details/scroller/

Note:
You have to reload every page you had open before you installed the extension, in order to get it to work. On some pages extensions doesn't work, like on internal pages and on addons.opera.com.

Compiled from sources.

that it's really that version Opera uses?

Not sure how to check it. I assume that Opera uses the version that is installed, and ffmpeg in console show 2.6.3.

Anyway, the problem resolved itself after running apt-get autoremove, weirdly enough.

Thanks a lot l33t4opera. The issue was actually on my end (doh!). I had let my cert StartCom SSL cert expire. Heh, but at least this also gave me the time to harden my Cipher settings on the server as well as update with a new cert 🙂 Wouldn't even have thought to look had you not given the above link and which caused me to take a look at the cert details, haha. Thanks again man.

No that sounds perfectly fine. You didn't have the dependencies -f install fixed it. There is no issue here.

Update:

Now sync and sidebar works, but these are still gone:
Add to speed dial. Import bookmarks. I can't see the actual bookmarks in the menus Encoding
I've checked this in the latest developer version.

Yes I experience this issue too, also facebook is laggy, sometimes do not load whole page. (I have 120/12 Mbits connection, LAN to router, no connection issues whatsoever.
