Apart from being able to decide on all gestures yourself (customizability), is their a specific gesture or command that you are missing?

You'd have to explain "arrange tabs" ... if all you mean is rearranging the tab bar then Opera 26 is just fine. If you mean Tile/Cascade/etc. ... I didn't think the Mac version did that.

The reason given for the change to Chromium was that they spent too much time fixing other people's websites

Did you try telling it you were in the UK? At the bottom of the page there is a line that says "Choose region:" then has 5 little flags and a world map - presumably if you click the British flag you can get the UK version. (I didn't see any prices on that page, but I did notice an actual US tool-free phone number there. Clicking the British flag does show me a different phone number.)

As far as why you saw the US page ... do you use Turbo? Turbo uses a proxy, which can result in websites thinking you are somewhere other than your actual location. While I have to doubt they'd route you through a proxy over here, maybe they show the US site for people they think are in Norway. Or else, maybe the "world" site uses US dollars?

Is Opera Turbo turned on (Opera application menu -> Opera Turbo)? Try turning it off if it is.

The fix will work and clear the obvious issue but does nothing for the underlying problems which may be your computer is infected with malware and the address listed on the 2nd choice in the lan setting is trying to do some misdirecting. My culprit was AdvaceElite which would bombard my screen with various advertisements.

That is your choice, no one is physically forcing you to or persuading you to stay.

Many browsers to choose from, take your pick.

Opera; you don't have to include Bing as default, but then you have to make it possible to set user defined search engines as default, cause right now you can't for some reason. (Although, it would still not harm if you included Bing as default).

The update to opera 25 seems to have fixed the slow mac pop ups. Hopefully it will stay that way. Thanks avi.

I didn't know there was a update to 25, it always said opera was up to date.... hmmmmmm.

chas4, flash is the overall problem. Its sucks on all my web browsers, and not just on the macs. Adobe has had plenty of time to fix the issues and they seem to do nothing about it. I wish more websites would phase flash out, as there are much better options out there already.

You can use the Mailto button extensions. Allows you to get a button in the toolbar or in page’s context-menus. (The toolbar button can be disabled from the extension manager.)

Please provide more information such as screenshots, version numbers, et cetera. Please also try to reset the zoom level (Command–0).

There have been some changes to native controls on Mac on the Opera developer stream very recently, so what you are seeing could be a side-effect from that. Not quite sure exactly what you are seeing, though.

As for your extensions, their intended effects may not accurately reflect their actual effects. They can have bugs and unintentional side-effects. Try disabling them when troubleshooting issues.
