So it seems it´s not an Opera issue per se, but rather Windows being dumb. I am interacting with web browser the most on this laptop and I didn´t encounter this behavior when using Firefox. Anyway I found out Word and some other 3rd party software had the exact same issue. It seem like an issue with Quick Access. So I purged the Quick Access data and in Explorer settings switched from Quick access to This computer, rebooted and so far it looks ok. Gosh I really hate Windows 11.

Also the address bar, when typing in a search, the drop down box with suggestions works but are not clickable.

@escape75 Confirmed. Everything is correct with the extension and it works in other Chromium-based browsers. I filed DNA-116030 for it to see if it's a bug or something intentional Opera does for some reason.
Keeps randomly freezing for ~1 minute since ~2 months ago September 2023

I've experienced this issue as well on macOS.

When I allow some website permissions e.g. notification, microphone, camera, etc. Opera will remember not for so long. The next day Opera will ask again when to enter the websites and need those permissions.

I checked on the Settings menu on Opera and all of the saved website permission settings disappeared.
Application fails to prompt 'Pin to taskbar' notification after installing the app.

@haifang I don't have any strategy in dealing with bugs, since I'm just an user. What I said was based on my long time experience with Opera and in common sense.
You can report the problem and see what happens, but the changes that Opera (or most of the software houses) will fix it are kinda low.
Can I recover Deleted history?

Not sure if this is what you need, but if you want a website blocker that is always tuned on, you could try "Cold Turky Blocker". It is an external app that closes the browser when you disable the web blocking extension. It is hard to delete if the blocking is active. It also blocks other browsers. You can set requirements to change the block-list for example like "only at 4am" , " "in 1 week". Theres a free and a payed version. Lately it makes opera crash about twice a day, but it is sill worth it. And maybe it will work better for you.

You may need to provide your email address or username before the option shows up.

Goto the URL opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera and delete the "Sessions" folder in the profile folder. This will wipe out all windows and all tabs (and islands) in all workspaces, but it might fix the crashing.

If you need to save your open tabs first, right-click a tab, goto "save" and choose "all tabs to a speed dial folder" (and repeat for other workspaces you have if any). Then, when you start Opera back up after deleting the sessions folder, you can right-click that speed dial folder and choose "open all in tabs". This will not restore the tabs back into their islands if you had any grouped into islands.

That's the first thing I would try.

I'm sorry but I forgot to mention that it happens when I set the zoom level to 125%, so the tiles are large enough for my laptop screen.
