Here i see the date both in regular and private windows.
Try clearing YT cookies and the cache.

Yep works now. Thanks. I had deleted caches and stuff, only "cookies and..." among the relevant options did I ignore since I did not want to be logged out from many sites; But then I remebered I can access site specific cookies (and other stoarge data) from the developer tools...
Anyway, since I naturally had forgotten my G+ account's password (yep, I don't use any web service + extension for the purpose) I had to reset my G+ password 😃

It does seem silly that there is not yet a bookmarks importer. Well I did some searching and there is one available as a plugin if it helps. I haven't used it though, so I don't know how it works. The descriptions says that it was made for Opera 15, but I imagine that it should work for 26 as well.

Also, if needed, close down Opera and edit operaprefs.ini in the preferences folder (see help -> about Opera for the location). Make sure there's no Mail Root Directory= line under the [Mail] section.

Well that is disappointing. Thanks for the answer.

It seems like basic functionality that has been omitted. I'm grateful that Opera has given us their browser for so long with no fee, but truly I'd be happy to pay for it if it had a few more features I desired. I put off using the new version until bookmarks were added. If there were an upgraded version I'd be happy to pay for it as I do find it better than many other popular browsers.

Thanks for your reply all. I was able to inspect the opera task manager after enabling the dev tools. So far things are normal, will have to wait until I notice unterminated processes to inspect.

I did have it enabled. What exactly does Turbo do that would cause this behavior?

Preferences and Local State are changed when you change a setting or a flag. Others may change constantly depending on what you do during your surfing time.

Maybe even some extension could be creating those files.
