With the new “Use vertical tabs” option, it now appears as the last item in the context menu when right-clicking a tab, while “Reopen last closed tab” has been moved to the second-to-last position.

My problem is that I've been using this menu for years and, due to muscle memory, I automatically right-click a tab and click the last option to reopen a closed tab. Now I keep accidentally enabling vertical tabs instead.

Is there any way to disable/hide “Use vertical tabs” from the context menu, or make “Reopen last closed tab” the last option again?

It would be great if this menu could be customized.

if clear caché and cookies, disable all extensions, hardware acceleration and VPN, doesn't help

then i have no idea, but you might try to simply wipe out everything from those folders, and reinstall opera.

you will lose bookmarks, so take that into consideration

@MrAnttt432 dif you five a try by disabling hardware acceleration and see what happens?
Its inside the opera config, disable it, restart opera, and lets see if the problem might come from there

@MrAnttt432 try to disable the ad blocker embeded in Opera just in case it makes a difference,

works slow to me too, but just on old tabs
i open some youtube tabs, i do something else, i come back to those old tabs, and then the controls are so laggy, scroll the timeline or pause is slow,
i have to do F5 then it works well again,

odd, never happend me to me on my old windows 8.1
and now with windows 11 and newer version fo opera i do have this problem,
i have 32 gb of ddr5 with nmve SSD, is not even that it end up in caché or whatever,
also is hard to replicate, you have to let some hours pass then come back to the tab and magic, laggy

@leocg i just tried the 125 developer version portable
and seems fixed there

in fact i find it fixed now on 124 too, thats odd, maybe was some extension? i tried to re enabled them all and i dont it come back the problem,
maybe a caché problem? i dont really know,

Hi, i tried with another chromium based browser con w11 and works well, i tried with my old windows 8.1 + old opera, and works well,

but now with Opera on windows 11 there is an annoying problem,

1º Open any short, and unfold comments
2º Mouse click inside the comments to enable suto scroll and slide down the mouse so the comments slide.

problem: It moves to the next short,

Its like it don't detect well the frame where you clicked,
just go try with any other browser, works as expected.

I try to install extensions on Opera from Chrome website, i have windows 8.1
and it doesn't work. It used to work since i have several extensions installed already.
I tried another windows 8.1 in a virtual machine with opera, and still same problem appears.
Whats wrong? how to fix this? so annoying.
Opera version: 95.0.4635.90 (the last one for 8.1)

Hi,
when opera has dify cashback enabled, all the extensions of the browser become non operative, i mean, the icons are all grey, kind like active but not usable.

also, why does cashback don't always stay active? you enable, buy on aliexpress, and all fine, but then after some minutes or whatever, you enter again to aliexpress and its disabled again and you have to click to enable it,
sometimes you buy and you forget to enable it,
whats the point about have it integrated if it doesn't enables itself always?

@sgunhouse hum, thanks for the info, still odd since i have adguard plugin for block ads and also the build in blocker of opera, so usually i dont see and neither click ads,
but i can even warantee it in this case since i was looking for "ambigrams" and i openes several urls at same time from google, with the wheel button, meaning the 3 or 4 websites i did open were not even active view tabs, and then when i made them active to wich was the one i wanted, boom, i saw the opera landing page and JS file download.
maybe those ads are using a bug from some websites that allow them to load inside the legit URL website, because the downloaded JS file came from the legit URL too. Thats my guess, i dont know,
I even wrote a mail to the guy of the website, but got no response

@riazahmad90 maybe if they detect the code as malware, but not even on virustotal all antivirus detected this code

hi, browsing internet, i clicked a website on google and that website instead of load the expected thing, loaded a landing page of Opera
saying that i must "update it"
at same time my browser downloaded a JS file, that i proceed to upload, this file was analyzed on virustotal.com and it returned to be a trojan.
Do you guys think it got executed? its a bit messy the code, kind like a bit codified to difficult the read, any expert in JS want try to clean it in order to explain what it does and if it could had been executed or not?

by the way, after close the website and open it again, i never succeed to load the "landing" website again, the normal website loaded always,
how could that happend? you guys thing might be an extension i have that did it? or maybe was the website itself infect?

hi, when i create a pinboard and share it with a friend, if he open it from another browser, no problem, he can't do nothing to my bookmarked list aside of react with emoticons, but if my friend does open it with opera, he can edit my list, i dont want him edit my list, can you guys lock this so just you can delete your bookmarked items?

Sir, on any website, the "ad block" icon keeps appearing so you can disable/enable it quickly in that particular page

on google, if you disable the adblock, you must then go ito configuration to remove it from exception, because you can't reenable adblock from the icon because the icon dissapeared!

the build-in ad blocker of opera makes it easy to enable or disable in any page, except on google!
damn it, why?
why on google the icon dissapears and google must be insserted in the configuration and so on? when you add it manually, you get the ico and you can disable it in a click, but when you disable it, icon dissapears and you can't enable it again on google website.

@leocg If my english level dont fail me, You said Vivaldi did born to help those users who where not happy with Opera moving into chromium.
So how those users get happier with vivaldi if they are moving into a chromium browser anyway?
