I try to install extensions on Opera from Chrome website, i have windows 8.1
and it doesn't work. It used to work since i have several extensions installed already.
I tried another windows 8.1 in a virtual machine with opera, and still same problem appears.
Whats wrong? how to fix this? so annoying.
Opera version: 95.0.4635.90 (the last one for 8.1)
Hi,
when opera has dify cashback enabled, all the extensions of the browser become non operative, i mean, the icons are all grey, kind like active but not usable.
also, why does cashback don't always stay active? you enable, buy on aliexpress, and all fine, but then after some minutes or whatever, you enter again to aliexpress and its disabled again and you have to click to enable it,
sometimes you buy and you forget to enable it,
whats the point about have it integrated if it doesn't enables itself always?

@sgunhouse hum, thanks for the info, still odd since i have adguard plugin for block ads and also the build in blocker of opera, so usually i dont see and neither click ads,
but i can even warantee it in this case since i was looking for "ambigrams" and i openes several urls at same time from google, with the wheel button, meaning the 3 or 4 websites i did open were not even active view tabs, and then when i made them active to wich was the one i wanted, boom, i saw the opera landing page and JS file download.
maybe those ads are using a bug from some websites that allow them to load inside the legit URL website, because the downloaded JS file came from the legit URL too. Thats my guess, i dont know,
I even wrote a mail to the guy of the website, but got no response

@riazahmad90 maybe if they detect the code as malware, but not even on virustotal all antivirus detected this code
also i wonder how this has been inyected, from an extension or maybe was the website itself? no idea
hi, browsing internet, i clicked a website on google and that website instead of load the expected thing, loaded a landing page of Opera
saying that i must "update it"
at same time my browser downloaded a JS file, that i proceed to upload, this file was analyzed on virustotal.com and it returned to be a trojan.
Do you guys think it got executed? its a bit messy the code, kind like a bit codified to difficult the read, any expert in JS want try to clean it in order to explain what it does and if it could had been executed or not?
by the way, after close the website and open it again, i never succeed to load the "landing" website again, the normal website loaded always,
how could that happend? you guys thing might be an extension i have that did it? or maybe was the website itself infect?

Sir, on any website, the "ad block" icon keeps appearing so you can disable/enable it quickly in that particular page
on google, if you disable the adblock, you must then go ito configuration to remove it from exception, because you can't reenable adblock from the icon because the icon dissapeared!
the build-in ad blocker of opera makes it easy to enable or disable in any page, except on google!

why on google the icon dissapears and google must be insserted in the configuration and so on? when you add it manually, you get the ico and you can disable it in a click, but when you disable it, icon dissapears and you can't enable it again on google website.
@leocg If my english level dont fail me, You said Vivaldi did born to help those users who where not happy with Opera moving into chromium.
So how those users get happier with vivaldi if they are moving into a chromium browser anyway?

@arqhugo vivaldi is made by the old guys that made Opera, Opera was sold some time ago to a chinesse group and since opera guys didn't like some changes the new group made, they started Vivaldi, its nice browser too, has some tinny problems that need to improve, but yeah, they have the old dropdown of closed tabs we all want,
@leocg you talking about the windows task manager? or opera has some internal task manager? how to acces to it?
also i noticed sometimes its not even a tab, i must fully close the opera browser, and when i open it again with the same tabs, the load suddently dissapeared, feels like sometimes something gets stuck inside opera and generates a cpu load
again the same problem with the last update? damn it, now the flag that i used is no longer present to disable it?
i use a notebook and usually work with several tabs, 20, 30, whatever... at some point the CPU stays pretty "high", at a constant load of around 50% or so
when i want to detect what is the tab that is returning the problem in order to close it, i have no way to know it, i must close all one by one,
can anyone tell me some way to identify the problematic tab ? might be good to have some option inside opera to detect what Tabs are returning high cpu usage

odd, few days ago i had a crash of opera with two windows opened and for my surprise when i opened opera agian i got restored both windows with all tabs on both!
i was gladly impressed to see they finally solved the problem
are you on the last version? so sad you lost all the tabs, that sucks
hi, i dont know whats happening in my opera browser, i update it, was trying the ETH Wallet, read it also resolves .crypto domains
i remember to try a few, worked good, but now it just doesnt resolve
what can i do to check why its nor working? for example ivanontech.crypto should resolve to a web but does not in my case,
hi, i installed the last opera version and now i see a serach icon where it used to be a click to have a list of old closed tabs, very useful to restore a closed one very quick and easy,
not this option dissapered, is there any way to have it back? i dont use this magnifier search...
@johndaruk Goto the URL opera://flags/#video-pop-out-surface-layers, disable it and restart Opera. Disable opera://flags/#enable-surfaces-for-videos if you have to too.
thnks for the time you invest to response me, the solutions are okey, but makes me keep focus on that and dont forget to save them,
hope an automated auto save could be added in the future to opera, so it save always all tabs, maybe a configuration option like "treat tabs from diferent windows as a single windows" this way, next time you open and close opera, they all marge and open again,
