@best-codes no because as specified several times I have moved on to another browser because this has existed for probably a year now and opera won't fix it. so I have no interest in messing around with broken software.

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
@u1travio1et I used to use the .deb of Opera and obviously that also had the same problem so I am not sure it's snap related. To be honest I got tired of waiting for a resolution and move to an alternative. It's a shame I liked Opera.and used it for years But if Opera doesn't want to make the effort then neither will I. Good luck with finding a resolution.

@u1travio1et what about it? Are you asking if it happens with that version or if someone has tried it?

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
@megatron505 Hi and thanks for the reply I knew about the work around however. I am afraid after many many years of being an Opera devotee I have moved on to fresh fields. Opera have had ample opportunity to fix this but had not the last time I checked. I am afraid I have been at this too many years to mess with work arounds. After all Opera is Just Chromium with features and a vpn. So I wish you luck but I have better things to do than use software that has faults that don't get fixed for months and months if not longer. Be well and thanks for the response.

@rockhen67 That's interesting. As far as I know Opera, Brave, Vivaldi all start with a Chromium base. So the question is this. Are those affected being built on a specific version of Chromium that Brave currently is not.
Thanks for the update.

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
@mrg29a Opera Stable (Thats a laugh) AMD64 90.0.4480.54 just dropped on Debian 11 running Gnome 3.38.5 Wayland and guess what it told me about all it's new features while ignoring the fact yet again that it's broken and has been for months.
I am starting to think that they are incapable of fixing the the bug and so they are ignoring it.
Never mind I guess a different browser will be part of my fresh install and Opera will be a distant memory. It's a shame I've always been rather fond of Opera but hey I was fond of my old car and I sent that to be crushed. I guess Opera will go the same way.

@ivarzlv There problem still exists on Debian 11 with Opera 89.0.4447.97 just tested it. Got the update yesterday and nothing has changed.

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
@piggytato Yeah seen quite a few updates since this first reared it's head again but I also am thinking I might have to switch browsers, I don't want to because once I do I will abandon Opera for good and I've been using it a very long time, but constantly having to restart browser breaks my work flow and to be honest this is mature software I shouldn't have to be messing around with workarounds just because someone at Opera messed up once again.

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
I am also suffering from this problem, Debian 11, Gnome 3.38.5, Opera 89.0.4447.51 Is anyone at Opera actually looking at fixing this? I've had the problem now for several weeks and it's beyond annoying. I mean really folks been an Opera user for longer than I can remember but what with the constant video issues and now the right mouse click context menu issue again " not the first time " this is really starting to get lame.

@benvantende Sounds like my interactions with the human race...

RE: opera-stable 80.0.4170.16 Does Not LaunchOpera for Linux
@benvantende Yes I too have a script that copies the files, my problem is I never know what codec version to download and where from.

RE: opera-stable 80.0.4170.16 Does Not LaunchOpera for Linux
The problem with this codec breaking Opera frequently is terribly irritating. It seems to me that if Opera can not ship with the codec there is little that can be done about that. But why can new releases of Opera not come with a script that downloads and copies the correct the correct version of ffmpeg that is required for that specific release. I mean seriously how hard would it be to include this script in either a directory or link to it from within the settings. click it, download the right version, ask for credentials and copy the correct file to the correct location. Why do we have to deal with this every time a new version of Opera appears when the problem doesn't exist with the other browsers that are available and if it does exist why is this not such a problem.
