As an old timer, when a new version of operating system comes out, I am known to completely reformat my computer and reinstall. That said, there has been more than one time when the China thing comes to mind. Some of the features of opera and the speed dial are really like, so I end up coming back.

In addition to spyware, this bothers me too: I have never seen anything that was produced anywhere in the world that, when sold to China, did not become worse. And I don't mean spyware, I mean quality. Attention to detail. Execution.

True story: My girlfriend bought a soap that is . . . well, was . . . made by a very small company in the United States. It was sold to the Chinese, and in no time the quality of the soap dissolved as fast as the soap.

Story 2: I bought a dial–type stopwatch labeled with the name of a respected company in Europe. After getting three that simply felt too light, and the buttons felt cheap and would jam, the holder of the brand confided, "We don't make those anymore. That is our name but they're now made in China."

Sure, the actual hands-on programmers of most of Opera are in Europe, but I can't help but think the Chinese, even if they are not adding in back doors, are trying to drive down costs by driving down the quality of developers.

@burnout426 Thanks for the copy & paste; I use that in macOS Finder, but I never thought to try it here. And also for the info "the 'Speed dial' folder can only have one subfolder."

Thanks, tried that, but it doesn't copy. Dragging and dropping is what I do, but I'm going to need carpal tunnel surgery after all that.
