RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@leocg I've tried a different browser on a different computer - no luck.

RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@blackbird71 yeah, that's the first thing I did. It didn't help. Thanks anyway.

RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@bbildman Thanks but no dice. It still defaults to .co.uk regardless. I get this notification:
"Please enable cookies to get best experience from our website. Some features might not work with cookies disabled." It must be the company itself redirecting to the local area even though I've changed everything to US. I've even tried it in Tor, but again no luck. -
RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@esebm This is what I did.
Opera menu - paths - copy the profile path - find in directory - scroll down to 'local state' - open in notepad- change country codes.
Having said all that it didn't fix the issue though. -
RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@leocg I just changed it to US as per your instructions, but it still defaults to UK. I guess, I'll just have to change sites. Thanks for your help though.

RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@sgunhouse Yes, that's what I'm thinking. Annoying when your account (and fly miles) are with the other one though.

RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@leocg thanks for the suggestions, however I'm not that computer savy. I'm happy to try anything but could you explain in a bit more detail what you mean please? Thanks in advance.

RE: Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
@sgunhouse
cheapoair.com I've had an account with them for ages, now however I cannot get into it because I keep getting directed to their UK site. I'm currently in Denmark and have changed the location to US on my computer settings in case that's the problem but still no luck. -
Opera defaulting to .ukOpera for Windows
Hi all!
I'm trying to access a .com site but Opera insists on defaulting to it's .co.uk site which is useless for me as I'm not registered with that one. Is there a way to force it to the site I actually want without resetting all my location details? (cookies, cache, history etc.. have already been cleared more than once)
Thanks in advance. -
RE: Tabs keep closingOpera for Windows
@nvmjustagirl It's Version: 52.0.2871.40 Windows 10 64-bit I'll try disabling my extensions and see how that goes for a day or so. Thanks for the advice.

RE: Tabs keep closingOpera for Windows
@leocg Hi, thanks for the input. I've checked my mouse settings but it seems fine. I have no issues like this with any other browser. Admittedly I have a few tabs up because I do a lot of research but the problem is fairly new yet my multiple tab count isn't.

RE: Tabs keep closingOpera for Windows
21 days later and I'm still having this problem. As much as I love Opera, if it doesn't get fixed soon I may have to change browsers.

Tabs keep closingOpera for Windows
Hi all!
For the last few days whenever I click on a tab to view it, it keeps closing instead, which is getting annoying as I have to go into the history each time to recover them.
Is anyone else having this problem and if so how did you fix it?
Thanks in advance -
RE: General Opera for Windows Question and Answer ThreadOpera for Windows
@sgunhouse said in General Opera for Windows Question and Answer Thread:
Opera is a multi-threaded program, it can use multiple processes to speed up execution. So even with only one tab open you will see multiple "versions" running.
Thank you. I will take your advice.

RE: Enabling icons only in bookmark barOpera for Windows
@zalex108 Thank you! I never thought of that. In other browsers it's a setting function. Thanks for you help.

Enabling icons only in bookmark barOpera for Windows
Hi all!
Can someone tell me if (and how) it's possible to enable icons only in the bookmark bar? I've scoured the settings and can't find the option.
Thanks in advance. -
RE: General Opera for Windows Question and Answer ThreadOpera for Windows
I have recently installed Opera and I love it except every couple of days or so it gets really slow or hangs and when I go into the control panel I see multiple versions of opera.exe running - sometimes with quite high CPU and memory usage.
I only have two add-ons and disabling them made no difference.
Any suggestions please?
