@anonan I concur! Same mess here. Amazingly enough there seems to have been no official bug report until now! But meanwhile a colleague of mine has reported the bug under the number

So, lets hope this will be fixed ASAP!

Since "upgrade" to Opera64 Anonymous Proxy is no longer workigOpera for Windows
Hi all,
after "upgrading" to Opera 64 f. Windows I'v run into a severe problem.I've been using an Anonymous-Proxy program (Tor-based) to communicate with Social Media sites to mask my actual IP-address. This establishes connection to a proxy in a chosen country and produces a so called "pac-file" (automatic configuration script) which sets the proxy-address for "system" in the "Internet-options / LAN-settings"-tab.
A "Show-IP"-service on the Internet would then report back the "fake-address" I was supposedly connecting from and the Social-Media-sites would be fooled accordingly.
To make a long story short: since "upgrading" to Opera_64 the "Show-IP"-service would all of a sudden give away my true IP-address in spite of the Anonymous-Proxy-application running and successfully connected.
In the settings-dialogue of Opera I could not find any (new) setting so far that would restore things to the old proxy settings that worked successfully until Opera_63.
Any suggestions or Opera-settings / flags that might remedy this mess??
greetings

RE: History Page is broken: Old history not displayedOpera for computers
@incomingbrowserchange
Ever heard of the rule: "If it aint broke - don't fix it"? But then - what does it mean
" I don't think it's very probable they'll revert those unwanted changes"?
This is absolutely and without a doubt a severe bug! I am not complaining about a new layout here. I a complaining about the loss of a basic feature every browser offers, that is to access history back as long and far as the user chooses.
It cannot possibly be a desired new "feature" to limit such access to about yesterday! (seemingly also dependent on the number of records).
And if they really should ignore that, then opera itself is history - at least for me.
To make things even more annoying a new "bad habit" seems to spread on the version-history-download-page. Instead of fixing things there now appear download-folders with phantasy-version-numbers that come up empty upon inspection so that the interval of "new", so called "stable releases" with the same old bugs has now been increased to about 2 weeks. -

ODev 51/2802 crashes in sandboxFuture releases
Please be informed that ODev, since version 2802, crashes when used in a "sandbox"(www.sandboxie.com). On installation the browser opens normally but when invoked within that sandbox only pictures/graphics appear but no written text. Also the "settings"- and "about"- sections come up without any text and therefore cannot be inspected any longer. After branching to other locations the program CRASHES altogether with a pop-up that some memory address has been addressed illegally. Until build 51/2796 everything was fine and still is with the main-desktop-version.

RE: CNN videos hang / get stuck after a few seconds on HWA = "on"Opera for Windows
Thanks "leocg", I wasn't aware of that bug reporting procedure. I went under the assumption that bugs are reported by discussing them in this forum. Meanwhile there is such a report: DNAWIZ-18404. Does that mean that the so far unfixed "Google-maps" / v.46-general-loadig-bug may not have been officially reported either while having been amply discussed in this forum?
Btw, did you Opera-forum guys notice that this very site has practically been down for a day and a half from thursday 7/27 to friday 7/28? In particular when logged in you couldn't get past the "overview"-page which again kept loading and loading with the busy-cursur blinking frantically (sounds familiar with Opera v.46 from "Google maps"?)?
As soon as one would proceed to the Windows- (or any) problems page the browser kept jumping back to the "overview"-page within seconds again. That one seems now fixed. I'm wondering though if that phenomenon might also have been related to the v.46-loading problem and so far couldn't figure out how to determine if that one, too, has been "officially" reported via the "wizard"? Because over there it is only mentioned that a bug already discussed in the forum will probably have been "officially" reported via the "wizard" in the first place - but how to be sure?

RE: CNN videos hang / get stuck after a few seconds on HWA = "on"Opera for Windows
Sorry "leocg", I somehow do not get the meaning of your last question. Reported, yes. Fixed? Still waiting, all I'm saying. How could it be "not the case" to be a problem if it can be clearly reproduced, depending on the "HWA"-setting = "on" and not occurring on "HWA" = "off"? And why was "HWA" = "off" not a problem until v.45 and has become a massive problem with many other sites (not only "Google maps") only since v.46?

RE: 46.0.2597.57 severe problems in connection with hardware acceleration & loading/video playbackOpera for Windows
Using a board-integrated Intel 530 HD graphic with latest drivers from board manufacturer HP and 4K display resolution via display-port on a 4K-EIZO-monitor.
3 of the other systems tested that show this unfortunate behavior also have on-board Intel HD graphics. But in how far could it be Intel's / the driver's fault when "Chrome" / "Firefox" do not show the problem?

RE: Google Maps not workingOpera for Windows
Unfortunately now with v.46.0.2597.61 out, the problems discussed here still persist unaltered.
