RE: Please ditch the history panel !Suggestions and feature requests
@sgunhouse Um, can you be more specific as to where I can control the presence of the History and Bookmarks---so that the pop-up panels do not appear at all, and the History and Bookmark pages open directly---if this is possible ?
Thanks !

Please ditch the history panel !Suggestions and feature requests
Re: Bookmarks and History panels are empty
Before the pop-up panel---which covers and hides another history page, when everything's working---I just found what I was looking for on the history drop-down. Now : to get where I'm going, I have to close the history pop-up panel by 1) clicking on the three dots, to get permission to close the panel; 2) opt to close panel; 3) carry on with my day.
Why ? How is this redundant, extra, unnecessary pop-up panel better than the previous simple, straightforward, quick and efficient arrangement---one history pane, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all ?
Respectfully---Stephen

RE: [Solved]HIstory date is incorrectOpera for computers
In recent months I've found that the contents of my browsing history list is incomplete, and/or that the dating---grouping of search records by date---is incorrectly grouped. That is, a small number of today's search URLs appears under today's date, and the remainder of them are listed under yesterday's date, or even further back.
After the latest update, only the last hour's searches are dated correctly; all previous ones appear under older dates (days). My initial impression was that some or much of the history is missing.
Anybody else experiencing this glitch ?

RE: [Solved]Minimized Opera won't restoreOpera for Mac
The latest version of Opera arrived for me today. When I hit the O icon to access my Internet connection, nothing happens, I have to quit Opera, then it will open. This happened the first time I tried to open, and every time . . .
Anybody else having this experience ?

RE: Newest version of Opera won't remember passwordsOpera for Mac
So, how are we doing with this issue ?
I just installed Mojave on a brand-new SSD drive. I'm using the latest version of Opera. Passwords are not saved; on the pane that provides that part of the security package I have all options turned on. No passwords appear on the list.
I renewed (refreshed ? revived ?) Opera to obtain default settings. No success.
Has any new information surfaced on the issue of saved passwords ?
Thanks---Steve

Fly-by notices -- upper right of screenOpera for Mac
I hear a chime, look upper right (if I'm even at my computer -- and a notice appears, then slides off the screen into the ether. Can I read these notices somewhere, at my leisure ?
