Anyway, it's something that needs to be fixed by the extension author.

Having the same problem. Been forced to use Chrome. Even so Chrome also started having the same problem.

It would also be cool, if a normal middle-mouse-scroll would end the scrolling toggle!

I am using Opera Next,

I found a workaround for the minimize thing:

I installed "Download Chrome Extension" and then the Chrome extension "Smooth Gestures".
I disabled Opera mouse gestures and set my costum ones in "Smooth Gestures".

Now everything works as before 🙂
