RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@leocg Ok, so let's not complain: nobody cares. That's what you mean? "There are always complaints" "the developers never answer" What is the use of my time in this forum?

And I don't think that acting like a spoiled child will make them change anything.
The truth is, I think your response as a moderator is regrettable.
It is disrespectful and without empathy in the face of numerous argued complaints from many users for so many months without response.
I think it is not necessary for you to express yourself that way when faced with something that does not seem like a good option. Correct with respect please.
It is not the first time you have done it and several users have already told you, but you can see that you do not care, and neither does Opera.
Their attitude is one of the reasons he added for me to leave Opera and replace them with Vivaldi after 20 years of user.
It would be good if you check your attitude, it does not help at all.
(As I clarified it several times already,
this is not personal, it is a difference between a common user and a moderator.) -
RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@vikont-0 Yes, I have seen it, thanks for your reply vikont. But before it was all together (closed tabs and tabs on other devices) in a single access much more convenient and practical to find tabs.
Now, they are not only separated, but also to see tabs on other devices opens them in a very impractical large window compared to the immediacy it had before accessing everything.
And on top of that, they replaced access to all of this with a search popup that adds nothing, and to top it off, it doesn't even take dark mode.
They are all negative details compared to the practicality of the previous access.
Those of us who have used Opera for a long time, largely love it for those practical details, such as the fact that you can go back to the beginning of a page by clicking on its tab ... it's as if they took that away from us. The improvement is not understood.
And on top of that is a change that was resisted many months ago, by many users: just look at the number of visits from these threads ...
It is incredible that they do not listen to many people, it is not something that a couple of users crave because they do not like a detail, it is something that makes the browser less practical ... and it seems that they do not care.
Thanks vikont, I still appreciate your message. -
RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@leocg Do you think these are "only complaints"? His answer seems to me very little empathetic.
In this case we do not make a complaint for pleasure, we are arguing something that is evident: the functionality is clearly affected.
It is not a matter of taste, or "only complaints", or wanting to annoy the developers because we feel like it, there are fundamentals and it is evident that trimming is impractical.
And aldo, you as a moderator seem to support that, instead of seeing that there are many of us who argue why the change seems bad to us.
Nothing personal, neither with you nor with the developers.
If you think we are all wrong, you should explain why you think that cut is better and how Opera improves.
You or someone should, out of respect for us, explain that to us. -

Tried Vivaldi for a couple of days... Interesting. Nothing is perfect of course, but still the train of thought is clearly what we came to love opera for.
I have been exactly the same
@ericartman92 said in Bring back the "Recently closed" button on the top bar on the right:
Looked at the browser usage statistics and I wonder why opera does things that drive away what already is a pretty small portion of the "market".
I was also wondering that ... Opera little by little has stopped being something different, designed more for the user, to be more of the same.
I will continue with Vivaldi.
It is more like the real Opera when we all start to love it. -

Please return to recently closed tabs icon !!!

RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@leocg This never happened: they want to remove something that many users have been demanding for months that they do not remove it

RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
Unfortunately, it is already clear that the developers are not interested in what is happening here.
This has been going on for many months.
It's as if nothing happens, and it doesn't matter.
It is a lot of users who are expressing themselves clearly and with arguments because they have taken a key option from them.
And nothing.
Since Opera has not even given a signal, a few words, to contain the numerous and respectful claims.
Not here or anywhere, not even through moderators. The moderator of this thread has not provided contention, has been unkind in several responses and has taken sides against these users on this issue.
This is also unfortunate and does not speak highly of how Opera is treating its users.
This, @leocg, I raise it with all due respect, it is nothing personal. This is all disappointing.
Especially to those of us who love Opera from the beginning, since many years.
Even many users are already announcing that they are going to switch to another browser.
For my work I must use Firefox, Edge, Chrome to always do tests, I know them. But I always kept choosing Opera as the default because from the beginning I felt that they cared about its users.Today for the first time I felt that I should start looking the other way.
And that's ugly, it's sad.
I haven't tried Vivaldi, but I know it's from the old Opera developer.
Maybe there I will find that feeling that Opera gave me when I started using it many years ago.
Sorry for the catharsis, but this is what happens to me.
Although it does not interest. -
RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@dragonchi I started testing Vivaldi a few days ago and it is going very well for now. Maybe it will help you.
It was made by an old Opera developer, I'm really liking it.
(I used Opera for 20 years ...)
I like it better than Firefox. -

You should consider the claim of many users and give a positive response:
Please: Bring back the "Recently closed" button on the top bar on the right!!There are many more users who claim it, but they do not take the trouble to write it in the forums, but many of us do not like this change!

RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@jolang I understand your comment, but it would be a great disappointment for me to do that, more than 15 years ago I used Opera as the default browser ... and this never happened.
So I ask that it be repaired, and many users do so. -

It's enough of a personal favourite that I'd ditch Opera in a heartbeat to go to another browser that has it.
Vivaldi has it.
A few days ago I was testing it, even though I did not want to leave Opera ... but several reasons were added to start giving way to another browser (For my work I also have to use Chrome, Firefox and Edge daily, but I always preferred Opera for many years)
And now Vivaldi has reminded me again of that Opera that little by little was lost ... that's why I will continue with Vivaldi.
So far it's going very well. -
RE: Where is the "Recently closed tabs/Tab menu" button on the top right?Opera for computers
@itsacon The same thing that you are describing in your post has happened to me.
And the old and innovative Opera that I loved, I think I'm bringing it back to Vivaldi.
So this straw that broke the camel's back, at least it seems to me to have served a good thing.
Then I will continue with Vivaldi.
Thank you. - Opera add-ons
