A reinstall to C://Program Files/Opera seems to have done the trick. Anyway I am clean so far.

RE: .opera folder in download folderOpera for Windows
@burnout426 So far, so good. Thanks
It seems to have been a Gigabyte APP center (mb utilitites) problem. It leaves an APC folder, not deletable, in /appdata/Local/temp
Once I uninstalled APP center and was able to delete the APC folder the .opera problem went away.
Thanks again -

Re: .opera folder in download folder
Still getting this .opera folder in my download folder from time to time. No explanation? Seems to be a duplicate of the .opera folder in /appdata/Programs/Opera/ Appears after an update but not every time.

RE: Custom tracker block listsOpera for Windows
@leocg That's it, I don't have a file to put there. If, say, I wanted to add any of the lists available in UBO, where do I find a URL for one of those lists to put there? What meets the criteria that Opera requires for that URL?

Is there a version 87.0.4390.50 released?Opera for Windows
I'm looking in my W10 uninstall this am and see two Opera listings, 87.0.4390.45 and 87.0.4390.50 The -.50 listing lacks the usual Opera icon so I am wondering if I stepped in some malware. I was able to delete .50 and ran Update - "up to date" with .45 so where did .50 come from?
Very peculiar

.opera folder in download folderOpera for Windows
Lately after an opera update I find a .opera folder in my download folder. Inside that there is an empty folder with an alphanumeric title.
Any significance to this? Never happened until about a a week ago.

RE: Search shortcuts getting inactivatedOpera for Windows
@leocg Yes, that's because I moved all the ones that had shown up there back to where they were before ie in "Site search" where they had been for months before something moved them to "Inactive shortcuts". So what decides they should be inactive and how do I prevent that from happening again?
