@semsemsem
I rolled back to 97.0.4719.83 and got my editable speed dial back. And so far the command line switch,
--disable-update
seems to be working...fwiw

RE: Can;t edit/delete Speed DialsOpera for Windows
28 days, some dials still not labelled and not editable. Had to roll back to previous version.
How do I prevent it updating? Not seeing anything in Settings.

Opera One speed dial groupsGeneral
Pretty often but not always when I try to slide a new dial into a group the target group dances around and will not accept the new dial. Are there some rules or criteria to be met that the new dial is not meeting? I can't see any consistent pattern in the dials that can't join the group.
Only in Opera One, Opera 99 has no problem.
Found a workaround: reboot O-One and it seems to work.

Group speed dial bordersSuggestions and feature requests
It looks like with 98.0.4759.6 group speed dial borders have gone from light to dark. Since that is good or bad depending on what wallpaper you are using I vote for a choice in Settings for what border you want.

Hah! Spoke too soon. .opera in /download is back.
I'll keep working on it. -

@burnout426
A reinstall to C://Program Files/Opera seems to have done the trick. Anyway I am clean so far.
Thanks

RE: ePub ReaderOpera add-ons
Opera says it is Installed but not present anywhere including context menu so no way to open it or uninstall it. Not good.

Weather widget only rarely syncsOpera for Windows
Weather widget only rarely syncs And when it is failing to sync it will not accept a change in location. You can type in a new location but nothing happens. Any way to troubleshoot this?

RE: Extracting an extensionOpera for Windows
@burnout426
Thanks burnout. Actually what I am trying to do is get rid of the .opera folders that keeps showing up in downloads. Once upon a time you told me to install to Program Files instead of appdata and that worked. But now the installer won't allow installing to anything but appdata/local/programs. Is there a way now to get rid of those annoying .opera folders that keep popping up? -
RE: Extracting an extensionOpera for Windows
It turns out that extension folders copied into Extensions are not recognized by Opera unless I am making some mistake. Sounded too good to be true.

RE: Extracting an extensionOpera for Windows
@leocg Copy out the folder for V7 stash in AppData/Roaming/Opera Software/Default/Extensions and paste that into the new profile? Hope it's that easy. Thanks. (think I'll back up first though)

Extracting an extensionOpera for Windows
104.0.4944.36, W11
I use an extension (V7 Stash) that is no longer in the play store. I'd like to install Opera with a new profile but I don't want to lose this extension which is working fine. Is there a way to save this extension from my current profile and put it in the new profile?

RE: Closing last tab now closes OperaOpera for Windows
@leocg For whatever reason now it opens on the unpinned tab so now I am happy and will go away and be quiet.

RE: Closing last tab now closes OperaOpera for Windows
@leocg You're right. A reinstall did fix that problem of closing Opera, but now after reinstall Opera opens with speed dial in a pinned tab which has focus and a second open speed dial tab. So then I either click a speed dial which opens in the pinned tab or I click the second unpinned tab to get focus there and then click whatever speed dial which opens and is not pinned. Is this the way it is supposed to work now? It seems awkward.

Closing last tab now closes OperaOpera for Windows
It looks like with 103.0.4928.26 closing the last tab now closes Opera. Is there a flag that will prevent this and keep Opera open or do I have to use the Don't Close Window... addon? Or maybe there is a better way.

Opera 12.18 Mail: How to get notifications?Opera for Windows
Yeah I know it's old but I just re-installed it for the mail. Back in the day I used to get a new mail notification on the taskbar icon - a small letter image, but not this time. Any insight as to how to get notifications again is appreciated. Settings>preferences>advanced>Show notifications for new messages is checked. W11
