it seems, the website needs with Opera more RAM and CPU-Power. it is a little little bit smoother in Private Window.

with Firefox and Palemoon it runs better.

If there are search suggestions, maybe it comes because you have in Alt P, Privacy and Security, a check in, "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar."

You can test it, but my guess would be that if you delete the file, but keep a check in "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar," Opera will restart the file.

I have the same problem, I can't get for a solution to import my bookmarks from Chrome to Opera 20. ...

Also, was there a typo when you stated you're using Opera 20? The current stable version is 29.

If you're using Opera 12.16 or earlier, search the Customising Opera forum on how to edit skins. You need to rezip the folder after editing the icons.
If you're using Opera 19, then I don't think the skin can be edited.
