@mrgrimm I never said your post was wrong, I said you had no reason to downvote @newspeak for his posts, twice.
That's only your opinion.
@sgunhouse There was and is nothing wrong with my post and you and newspeak knows it. Mod or not do not post like someone is a nutjob. Save that crap for the real nutjobs like the one that had issue with my post.
Love the fact that this thread has been ignored, Not. I noticed that some threads about video issues are locked for no reason. Example below. As long as Opera has been around I know someone knows what's going on with certain videos and how to address the issue. If someone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks
That looks pretty promising. I will give it a spin. Thanks a lot.
Edit:
Worked like a charm. Thanks again.
Sounds like something right wingers would love especially since they don't have sense enough to realize Corona is real and they should get their sorry asses vaccinated.
I installed Opera on the latest Manjaro Linux with the Plasma Desktop and added my extensions and tweaked the browser settings to my liking and all seemed good. I went to watch one of my shows online a couple of day ago and on the video I get "Browser not compatible You may need to update your browser". I have other browsers installed with the same extensions and I never have this happen in them. Anyone have any idea why Opera would be the exception to the rule? Thanks
@leocg said in How do I set my home page to something other than Opera Speed Dial?:
@mrgrimm There are many, most probably. However, it's been years that Opera no longer supports having a custom new tab page, basically since the change to Chromium.
What does the change to Chromium have to do with it since the feature is supported in Chromium?
Looks like this still has not been addressed. ALL other browsers have it where you can change the page that opens when you press the + on the tab bar. This feature should of never been removed. I just installed Oerpa for the first tiome in avery long time and have it almost exactly as I want it. The only thing missing now is setting what page opens when I press the + on the tab bar. Is there a request thread for this? Thanks

Recently I noticed even Google Duo is now a web app. Google is taking the right steps to simplify the experience for users by creating more web apps that strip the hassle of installation and clutter. I wonder if other companies will follow the same.
I also wonder when, or if ever we'll hear some news about Discord in the sidebar, along with Google Duo and more popular services.
simply hell no. put one chat client there and you have to put them all there. it was bad enough when the opera devs decided to create a web store only for opera.

Further to my previous comments, I'm afraid, after many years as an Opera lover, I've now moved over to Vivaldi. Endlessly customisable and, LOL, made it look like the older Opera in Dark mode. Plus it has Side Notes built in and didn't have to find an Extension.
Repeating myself, the View 'Extensions Panel' (Not to be confused with the 'Side Panel'), is a total mismatch to the rest of the theme, Windows or Mac and looks unfinished.
Should Opera go back to the older theme prior to v60, I'll look at returning.
if your on windows another one you can look at is the cent browser. it truly is as feature rich as vivaldi. if i were still running windows i'd have it as by backup browser instead of chrome, yes that means in linux opera is last after vivaldi vivaldi-snapshot chrome.

Totally agree. In addition, the previous version (V58) had a dark sidebar with tabs being light gray. New version- both are either all dark or that horrendous baby blue "light" theme color.
Time machine let me go back to V58 and I may never close Opera again if they don't allow a bit more customization.
I will also move to another browser if this is not addressed.
try dark reader in vivaldi or cent, either browser puts opera to shame.
opera need to be fixed to work with dark reader like the rest of the chromium based browsers do.

again how about not spamming the thread and just enjoy the music like the rest of us are, and have been?

I don't think that adding at least the name of the artist and song will make a huge difference.
agree with at but still stand by

@leocg said in What happened to the Vivaldi servers?:
Maybe someday they will add an option for a topic's OP to set a reply as the solution and, therefore, the topic as solved.
that would be nice to be able to tag a post as the selected solution.
@leocg said in What music do you like to listen to - share it with us:
Tip: It wasn't a suggestion.
tip it takes less bandwidth to seen peeps to the other site to play the videos, THUS saving the opera forum bandwidth which saves them money.

How about people writing some info instead of just post a link?
