Ever since Opera Mini was released for Android for the first time, and up till now, Opera as not provided the option to save Opera Mini web pages to any folder on the SD card.

Opera Mini for Android saves web pages only in the /data/data folder of the internal memory, and we can access that folder (and backup/restore our saved web pages) only by rooting the phone, this is a major inconvenience and results in the loss of webpages when we restore the phone to factory settings or get a new phone.

This option to save webpages to SD card is available in the JAVA version of Opera Mini, and is a very important feature.

Please add the option to save web pages to SD card for Opera Mini for Android, as well as the ability to open previously saved web pages from any folder on the internal memory / SD card.

BTW, regarding your comment that you have no problems viewing that webpage, I forgot to mention that only the first image is displayed, and all other images are not displayed.

Numbers will be displayed below "where each image is supposed to be" in the article.

In case you have the opera mini ad blocker enabled, you will notice that 16 "ads" have been blocked for that web page. They are actually false positives (genuine images incorrectly identified as ads and blocked).

One month ago, I could disable the Opera Mini ad blocker to display all the images below the first image, but
now it does not make any difference. Images are still not displayed.

Originally, Opera Mini was able to display all the images without any hitches some months ago.
All other images below that article have blank spaces.

How to reproduce the issue.

Set the following settings :

Extreme Mode (enabled)

Block Ads (enabled)

Page layout - Text wrap (enabled) and Single Column view (enabled)

Images won't load. I have tested this on other devices and other older Opera mini versions and got the same result. So I understand that it is an Opera Server side issue.

Kindly verify, confirm and rectify this issue with Opera's rendering servers.

Please add the option to save Opera Mini web pages anywhere to SD card like how this option is available for downloads.

I wish to bring to Opera team's attention that recently, Opera Mini has stopped displaying images in news articles on dailymail.co.uk when the single column view "enabled".

Opera Mini displays the dailymail news webpages even worse when the single column view is "disabled".

Please look into this issue and fix it as soon as possible.

To see the files, your phone needs to be rooted.

Opera team has never ever bothered adding the option to Opera Mini to save webpages to SD card ever since Opera Mini was first released for Android.

So when we uninstall Opera Mini or move to another phone, the saved webpages are gone forever. In my opinion, the Saved Web pages feature in Opera Mini for Android should go, unless they can offer the option to save them to SD card.

Only the Java version of Opera Mini has, and presently enjoys this feature.

This problem happens on Opera mini on Android and Java (I haven't checked on other mobile platforms). So it is probably a problem with the Opera Mini Server.

I hope the Opera Mini team sees this and corrects the fault.

1. In Opera Mini settings, enable the "Single Column view"

2. Now open dailymail.co.uk

3. Open any one of the news articles on the home page.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the news article... "NEXT STORIES" Section

5. Open any one of those articles in a new tab. (It will open that respective web page as usual).

6. Now open any other news article in the "NEXT STORIES" section. (instead of opening that respective web page, it will reload the SAME WEB PAGE (like a page refresh) for ALL other news articles in the "NEXT STORIES" section).
