@shiger Yeah, in a sense. But I was thinking of it as "saving" as a "entity", which is why I chose the word I did. I'm really bad at internet searches for the same reason!!

RE: [Suggestion]Allow to save Tab Islands as BookmarksTab Islands, Tabs and Workspaces
@shiger But it doesn't restore the "tab island". Depending on how your settings are configured and your tabs are open, it either restores the save tabs as part of the currently selected "tab island", or it restores them as individual tabs. That's not really the same thing as restoring the "tab island". It should restore the original "tab island" (and all the tabs within it) as the "tab island" it was before being closed. Opera needs to save the "tab island" as an entity which is restored as an entity, not merely a folder of tabs that happened to have been saved together in a single action.
Sorry that my original post wasn't clear on what I was meaning.

Tab Island Usability EnhancementsSuggestions and feature requests
There are a few things that Tab Islands need to be more useful:
-
The ability to name Islands, and to have those names display when hovering over the TI color bar for better/quicker identification of the TI.
-
The ability to change the color of TI groups to fit our needs, and for matching across multiple user accounts/profiles (for example, when using the same Opera account on multiple machines, or for work/personal profiles using Beta and Dev versions of Opera).
-
The ability to save TI groups in bookmarks, making it possible to close, then recall, TI groups as needed.

RE: Set custom search engines as defaultSuggestions and feature requests
Re: Set custom search engines as default
Users need to be able to set our own added search engines as the default search engine. This is pretty much a standard capability for browsers. Can't think of a single one that doesn't allow for this...except Opera.

RE: Sync only syncing some thingsOpera for Mac
SkazzySkills: Well, on the upside that means at least it isn't just you or I. Which rather suggests (though doesn't absolutely guarantee) that the problem is not with our local installations or configurations and it is in fact an issue with Opera.

Sync only syncing some thingsOpera for Mac
I realize that things like extensions are not including in the sync process (though why I don't know because there really isn't a good reason why not), but according to the help pages sync on the desktop is supposed to cover bookmarks, tabs, Speed Dial, settings, history, and passwords. Well, I'm getting the bookmarks and history. Tabs, Speed Dial, settings and passwords...not so much. It isn't like I'm running an old version; I've got 35.0.2066.92 installed.
So...what is the issue? Is there a hidden setting I have to activate to get everything to sync as it's supposed to or is sync just not working as advertised?
