Set custom search engines as default

Hello, can a feature be added so we can set our own added search engines as the default search engine? I would like to set Ecosia to the default for example, so I right click on the search bar on ecosia.org and click "create search engine." It adds it to my search engines but I can't set it as default. On Firefox, you can set your custom search engines as default. Thank you.

Users need to be able to set our own added search engines as the default search engine. This is pretty much a standard capability for browsers. Can't think of a single one that doesn't allow for this...except Opera.
