Im feeling back in the old Amiga vs Atari days....
Lets see the bright side - do you know another piece of software where people still complaining about there discontinuation after now nearly a year ?
Must have been a very good software with no alternatives
The funny thing is your so called war would probably be long over if not the same 4-5 people start defending Opera 15+ in any of the useless whining threads
Using Chromium there are some things that are impossible to do it. One of them is email build. Using Chromium implies limitations.
Its to much work and they don't want to. That's all.
They did not create a simple bookmark manager (and thats surely possible with chromium...) because its to much work so you can guess how long an email client would need.
Thought you were using 12.16 ?, from what you said up there ^.
I was using 12.14 because of some site incompatibilities but now im trying 12.17.
I just remembered the outlook problem in 12.16 x64 (and apparently now also in 12.17 x64)
Nevermind, just found it: public_domains.dat
Its missing in the x64 installation, you can replace it with the one from the x68 installation.
Yes, use insecure old software like Opera 12.14.
Yes, i will if i want.
Does anybody know the file that i have to replace to get outlook working in x64 ? I cant remember and the old forum is unfortunatly gone....
Try 12.14 x64
Yes, that works, but it was only a missing/defective file in the 12.16 x64 installation file that prevented outlook (and maybe other sites) from working.
It was possible to replace this file with the one from the x86 version.
Does anybody know the file that i have to replace to get outlook working in x64 ?
I cant remember and the old forum is unfortunatly gone....
I just tested 12.17.
It's same defective release as 12.16. Cookies support has broken, rendering bugs... 12.14 is a version of my choice.
And outlook.com is not working in the x64 version just as in the 12.16 version....
Well, in my scenario above all from opera mail received messages are deleted from the server but stored locally.
I thought this was his wish.
If he only wants to delete individual, already received messages from the server then it can only be done manullay with outlook.com.
@axlkyangel:
You have to configure outlook.com so that it can delete messages that you have received via pop, normally they are only moved to a different folder.
And you also have to disable the "Leave Messages on server" setting in Opera Mail.
How long did it take to get to the old opera version 12 with all of its features?
Sorry my bad english
Mmmmh, the feature i need (m2) was there from when i started using opera - maybe 2002 or somehwat ?
Maybe someone can correct me.
Did you receive this mail to your myopera email address ?
I think the point was that the mail was send to the address you used to register at myopera.
Well, i did not lose anything but i think the way that opera closed this service was not very professionell.
I already wondered last year that they sent the notification only to my secondary email and not to the @myopera one, i think it was forseeable that this would keep some people out.
And its surely not a big thing to sent a second email...
well, obviously, as anybody can see in this thread it was a big mistake to not send the notification to the @myopera email accounts.
maybe a second email was just to expensive....
