I agree. Opera should allow us to choose our preferred search engine. All browsers worldwide allow this (Except for Opera). We can even add the search engine we want to Opera for Android!
@andrew84 I think Opera will do like Brave and will support as much as possible. It's a matter of getting more users.

All Opera users will want to install uBlock Origin on Opera Mobile.
My Mv3 add-on has been waiting for approval for exactly 6 months. 
@wezelkrozum Mv2 add-ons currently available in the store will be protected. Especially uBlock Origin.
Hi, We can add as many custom search engines as we want, but we cannot select them as the default search engine. Startpage.com is a widely used privacy-focused search engine. We should be able to select this search engine as the default.
