Addition:

When I force Windows to use the NVidia MX 350 GPU, the problems are gone. Means that the issue happens only when using the internal intel GPU. Not sure if Opera can fix this issue or if this must be solved by intel.

Hi there!

My Laptop uses a NVidia 350 MX and a build in Inten grafics. Opera is using the internal Intel Grafic Card so far.
When Operas hardware acceleration is enabled, some videos which are embedded in websites causes distrotions / issues.
e.g. Themify.me help videos or affinity's current ad which is a embedded video (https://affinity.serif.com/de/)

Turning off accleration - videos are displayed fine, tunring on: causing problems.
All drives are the latest and Windows has all updates (Win 11).

Go to this address opera://flags

Search for #scrollable-tab-strip and select Enabled

It worked out, but it is not as usable as before. So looking forward to Opera to get this tweaked with the next updates. But in the end - this option makes me able to use opera again without frustration.

Unfortunatly Opera crashed yesterday after upgrading to Opera One.
Now all my open Tabs were "gone" - is there any chance to restore them? I knew from companys browser (which is Microsoft Edge) a option to do so, but I have never seen something like that in opera so far. Or have I overseen it?

yes I did - didn't worked - BUT looks like opeara fixed it by now.
Its working on all machine like desired, with the final and with the developers and beta versions.

@lando242 - please read again to get a better picture:
the old betas ARE working, the latest NOT, the developer IS working and the final is NOT.
So we are crying about the FINAL one and are WONDERING about how the old betas and developer are working while the final and the latest beta is NOT.

BTW:
Delveloper Edition 40.0.2296.0
works like a charm - even WITH VPN active!

After autoupdate of latest BETA - nothing is working with VPN anymore.

it worked a few days ago but looks that its now also with the beta version causing problems.

Interestingly:
40.0.2308.15 beta works like a charm WITH VPN active! the final doesn't.
